This is a fascinating and informative find, Gavin! 🙂 Personally I love poring over this kind of thing, just seeing new “data” about a film I’ve seen and enjoyed and seeing how someone else breaks it down.
That said, we should all be able to get something out of this kind of analysis, even if you didn’t enjoy the film, because it helps us understand so much more clearly how films are *constructed* as opposed to just “appearing” out of nowhere: these things are carefully and deliberately crafted, and almost any choice you can think of will have some origin to which we can point directly and consider more deeply.
